group located in Hampton Roads, Virginia looking for a Podiatrist
to join our team at 1Foot 2Foot. We currently have four locations
across the Hampton Roads metro area. Our group has nine podiatrists
in Virginia who listen and respond to patients, treating each one
as a unique individual deserving of first-rate, personalized care.
The podiatrists prevent, identify, and treat all aspects of foot
pathologies with outstanding success to allow our patients to lead
active and healthy lifestyles. This is a well-rounded podiatry
office that utilizes surgical and non-surgical treatment options
for patients of all ages. Established in 2006, 1Foot 2Foot recently
partnered with Balance Health, the nation’s premier comprehensive
lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. Under the direction and
assistance of multiple established Podiatrists who believe in
teamwork, the Podiatrist would be expected to perform the
following: Examine patient’s legs and feet to diagnose diseases
Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and
ankles Perform wound care management Diagnose diseases and
deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical
examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results Prescribe
medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques
necessary for prevention of future problems Provide
education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
Provide health promotion and preventive medicine Maintain
appropriate medical records on assigned patients Benefits of

Requirements: Requirements ? Knowledge of legal and ethical
standards for the delivery of medical care ? Knowledge of the
information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries,
diseases, and deformities of the feet ? Ability to identify complex
problems and review related information to develop and evaluate
options and implement solutions ? Excellent verbal and written
communication skills that allow effective working relationships
with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population ? Be
proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word,
Excel, EMR database Education and Experience Current License as a
Podiatrist in the State of Virginia Doctoral degree in Podiatric
Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry Completion of an
accredited podiatric residency program New grads are encouraged to
apply Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand for up to
several hours at a time. Ability to see and read information,
labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment
and supplies. Must be able to verbally communicate as well as hear
and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues.
Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate
equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent
computer use and typing for documenting patient care, and accessing
needed information. Ability lift up to 25 pounds.
