Key Job Details – Virginia Beach Healthcare Jobs Job Title: Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist – General Nocturnist Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Virginia anesthesiology jobs) Facility: 273-bed Level III Trauma Center Assignment Dates: January 5, 2026 – July 18, 2026 Shifts per Week: 5 Shift Duration: 8-hour night shifts (10- and 12-hour shifts available) Total Hours: 36 per week Call: Weeknight and/or weekend pager call (1:07 rotation) Qualifications – Anesthesiologist Job Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited anesthesiology residency program Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology Active, unrestricted medical license (Virginia preferred for Virginia Beach healthcare jobs) Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience Experience in adult anesthesia required; pediatric anesthesia experience preferred Proficiency in general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia procedures Ability to manage complex vascular (excluding open heart), orthopedic, obstetrical, and spine cases Expertise in ventilation management and central/arterial line insertion Willingness to participate in pager call rotation Responsibilities – Clinical Anesthesiology Jobs Provide high-quality anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients Perform spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia procedures Deliver anesthesia for general, obstetrical, neurosurgical (spine), complex vascular (excluding open heart), and orthopedic cases Support cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) lab procedures Manage ventilation and perform central and arterial line insertions Participate in weeknight and weekend pager call coverage (1:07 rotation) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a busy trauma center Apply now to join our healthcare team as a locum tenens anesthesiologist in Virginia Beach, VA.
