Your journey starts now!We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the maintenance planning and scheduling requirements for assigned facilities.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate, develop and engage the maintenance planning staff to meet the needs of the work sectionEnsure safe working conditions for all associatesSchedule routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance to ensure the maximum availability and longevity of assetsProvide technical planning and scheduling support for maintenance activitiesProvide data and information for budget preparation, tracking, and analysisEnsure all work is completed in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local environmental and safety requirementsPerform other tasks as assignedMinimum EducationRequired: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred: BS Degree OR comparable technical training within the mechanical and/or electrical craftsExperience RequirementsUnderstanding of standard software applicationsUnderstanding of manufacturing technologiesStrong mechanical skillsStrong communication, math, organizational, and analytical skillsStrong supervisory and interpersonal skillsExperience Preferred5 - 7 years of previous maintenance planning experienceEnvironmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus.Required to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations.Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
