Description:--- Maintain and troubleshoot all production line equipment associated within the Department to prevent and/or correct mechanical and electrical breakdowns.--- Must have a working knowledge of all plant's controls related hardware; including PLC (Control Logix 5, 500, and 5000), VFD (Powerflex 4, 40, 70, and 700), and all I/O sensing and safety hardware. --- Must have a working knowledge of communication protocol (Ethernet communication, Devicenet, Controlnet and Data Highway)--- Cross train on all lines in department/area of responsibility.--- All work for area is coordinated through area leads to assist line tech's to get equipment up and running in a timely manner.--- Assist process leads/supervisor in the identification of operator skill gaps and provide possible solutions.--- Develop and administer controls related training for the maintenance technicians in the Suffolk plant.--- Support and solve complex issues that exceed the everyday scope of the maintenance group.--- Research and supply alterative solutions for discontinued and end of life parts that will cause unexpected downtime if gone unchecked.--- Support plant high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in plant productivity programs.--- Comply and actively participate in all safety and environmental policies, procedures and programs. May serve on QRMP team. --- Comply with all QCMS program requirements including HACCP and GMPs.Skills:Electrical, Troubleshooting, Plc programming, Plc troubleshooting, fdaTop Skills Details:Electrical,Troubleshooting,Plc programmingAdditional Skills & Qualifications:--- Must have a working knowledge of maintenance, electronic/electrical power and control systems, and/or demonstrate sufficient training and experience in electronic/electrical power and control systems.--- Must have a minimum of 5 years industrial electrical/electronics/process control experience.--- Must have a high degree of competency in the use of programmable logic controllers for machine/process controls and troubleshooting.--- Must have a thorough understanding of the use and operation of process variable sensing elements (RTD's, thermocouples, transducers, humidity/moisture meters, photoelectric sensors, etc.) and be able to apply them to manufacturing environment.--- Must have the ability to configure and calibrate all forms of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic process equipment.--- Must have the ability to communicate technical information so as to improve the skills of the plant electricians.--- Must have a working knowledge of electrical installation and construction.--- Must have a high degree of competency in the application of both AC/DC motor drives.--- Must have knowledge of robotic systems configuration, operation, and programming--- Must have instrumentation skills with analog/digital conversion and set-up--- Must be willing to train self and others in problem solving/troubleshooting of electronic/electrical circuitries.--- Must have the ability and initiative to lead and participate in plant problem solving teams.--- Person must have knowledge of or be willing and able to train in Maintenance Systems, computer skills, lubricants and lubricating systems, and new technologies in predictive maintenance.--- Must be able to maintain and operate production line equipment in all plant's department.--- Must be able to apply problem-solving techniques, communicate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and plan effectively.--- Person must have knowledge of or be willing and able to train in CMMS, computer skills.--- Must be able to apply problem-solving techniques, comExperience Level:Intermediate LevelEmployee Value Proposition (EVP): Very competitive benefits package and pay OT earned after 8 hour shift daily Yearly evaluations for pay raise increaseCompany credit union on-site for employee use Will help with dependent college tuition re-imbursement Work Environment: Climate controlled indoor environmentExternal Communities Job Description:Maintenance Controls/PLC TechnicianHigh level of Controls troubleshooting experience Ability to program PLC High voltage electrical maintenance experienceShift:Candidates ideally need to be open to shift.
