Join our collective and help us grow a better world of wellbeing and a better you.Your roleThe Factory Quality Lead - Suffolk role works in the factory and reports to the Factory Director with dotted line to the North American Quality Lead in ekaterra.The role provides support in all aspects of Quality Management, like standard setting and enforcing, project leadership, Food Safety program management, management of change duties, continuous improvement activities and reporting Quality KPI's for the factory.The role works within the factory team in Suffolk and is the owner of the Quality Program for the Factory. You will work closely with the extended Quality Team including the Market Unit Quality and Global Quality team and other functions such as R&D, Planning and Logistics for ekaterra.The role is focused on driving a decrease in internal quality holds, customer and consumer complaints, improving, implementing and executing kaizen investigations, and providing technical quality support to the factory operations and customers we sell intermediate tea products to. - Leading the Food Safety team and document management in the Quality Management System (QMS) for regulatory compliance and incident management is also key.Scope of the role is leading a team of 1 salaried report and 5 hourly Quality Technicians. - You will partner with key vendors to manage microbiological testing, housekeeping and janitorial services, pest control, scale calibration, and other outsourced services.Your key responsibilities - - - - - Quality

  • Oversees all quality activities on site. Examples include, Quality laboratory management, operational needs and, improvement programs with suppliers)
  • Leads consumer complaint reduction projects
  • Leads the Food Safety team and maintains data collection and reporting
  • Monitors and repots quality hold information to stakeholders,
  • Leads quality improvement kaizens
  • Reports status of KPIs to Global Quality team
  • Budget ownership for the financial transactions for the quality department including management of creating POs, setting up contract agreements and documenting invoice payments in accounting systems.
    • Plays an active role in Market Product Incident management in his/her country through leading traceability exercises and ensuring product is controlled.
    • Provides expertise and support in Quality management for resolution of Quality issues within the factory
    • Proposes mechanisms and processes to monitor conformance to global quality standards & requirements of Third-Party Manufacturers (3PMs);
    • Supports external certification audits for the factory with support from NA Quality team, by facilitating audit prep, hosting audits, tracking closure of non-conformities and leading projects that address non-conformities.
    • Lead and input to answer Regulatory Body requests.Skills and experience
      • University degree in general sciences or technical discipline
      • Minimum 3 year of relevant experience in roles at local/regional level in quality management in food and beverage industry, preferably in manufacturing environment
      • Cross functional Influencing
      • Proven and recognized achievements in risk and change management
      • Excellent organization
      • High level of energy
      • Digital savviness
      • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
      • Ability to manage multiple projects with high delivery
