Senior Systems Engineer Red Hat / Windows
Amentum is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support efforts in Suffolk, VA.
The successful candidate will provide technical solutions and perform the required functions to support for exercise systems in accordance with DoD, Navy Maintenance Procedures, and Cyber System instructions; assist in the installation, troubleshooting and testing of the Systems; and provide support in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, testing, operation of exercise simulation systems in accordance with engineering specifications.

  Provide configuration management and preventative maintenance for Red Had Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Servers (Versions 6.10 and 8.02), Windows Servers (versions 2000, 2012 R2, and 2019), and Windows Workstations (Versions Windows 10, Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline (SHB), Windows 11, and Windows 11 SHB).

  Support systems engineering activities with Windows, RHEL, Domain Controllers, Active Directory, NFS, and VmWare.
  
  
• 
  Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
  
  
• 
  Provide system administration support for the integration and testing of new C2 systems.
  
  
• 
  Provide Tier II and III Technical and Engineering support for all U.S. Joint and NATO C2 Systems to include GCCS-J, Agile Client, JRE and TDACS
  
  
• 
  Maintain all Command and Control Programs of Record, to include GCCS-J, ADSI, JRE, and TDACS systems, in accordance with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
  
  
• 
  Provide and implement cybersecurity compliance of Joint C2 Systems by tracking, applying and validating Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) configuration changes per the direction of DISA GCCS-J Program Management Office and other C2 system program offices.
  
  
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Active Secret US Government Clearance required and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance
    
    
  • 
    Technical experience installing and configuring Domain Controller, Active Directory, DNS, File Servers, LDAP, Certificate Authority, PKI & SSL connections.
    
    
  • 
    Senior level Technical Training in a relevant Information Technology technical field
    
    
  • 
    12 years of practical experience with Information Technology to include two of the following areas: IT system implementation, IT system operations, IA concepts and implementation, operating systems, Enterprise operations, Enterprise incident management or problem resolution; Experience may be achieved simultaneously
    
    
  • 
    Ability to support some shift work, nights and weekends as required to support training events
    
    
  • 
    Current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent
    
    
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      US Military systems/network experience
      
      
    • 
      Ability to learn new systems including AWX, Komodo, Guacamole, LINK 16 and GCCS-J
