Our client is looking for an Integration Engineer with strong front-end and back-end skills to support a clients initiative. The ideal candidate will have started as a software developer and grown into an experienced solutions architect in the area of data management and data manipulation. This role requires a combination back-end programming skills, web services (service design, implementation, scalability), and front-end programming skills. This includes a strong understanding of industry trends using agile methodologies for development and deployment coupled with the security framework and controls necessary for use within DoD environments. The candidate will be responsible for working across the software life-cycle with an emphasis on design and integration. The candidate will work collaboratively with partner organizations in identifying what current capabilities can be integrated and what should be customized.

General Duties and Requirements:

Lead the design, construction, integration, validation, and demonstration of an operational capability that interfaces and/or integrates existing data-focused applications.
Collaborate with government leads, mission stakeholders, data scientists, project managers, cybersecurity, and other engineers to evaluate business requirements, formulate technical requirements, conduct feasibility studies, analyze current components, develop integration plans, execute builds, and provide insight into new technologies that could be used to enhance customer's current capabilities.
Employ an iterative approach to capability development that incorporates requirements refinement, user feedback, lessons learned, and other inputs.
Employ agile software development methodologies, SecDevOps best practices, test driven development, build/release systems, and code repositories.
Apply configuration management disciplines to maintain validated requirements, software revisions, security patches, and technical documentation, including design, configurations, tasks, bugs, test cases, and user stories.
Integrate and test software in unclassified domain then move into higher security domains.
Define task breakdowns and level of effort estimates.
Exhibit detailed knowledge of DoD policies, relevant data standards, and procedures for handling sensitive information.
Understand DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles, process, and security controls as a source of technical requirements.
Perform as full stack developer responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
Experience architecting business solutions based on data, integration, and user services using layered architecture (database, search, and presentation layers).
Up-to-date working experience with different object-oriented and scripted programming languages.
Understanding of access management and security groups (i.e. LDAP, IAM, S3 bucket, Cloud Trail, SSH, VPN, etc.).
Experience designing data models and web APIs.
Preferred (one or more of the following):

Experience in designing data communications, federating networks and services.
Experience with DoD operations (Combatant Command, Joint Task Force, CIAV, etc.).
Knowledge of network technologies, common infrastructure components, load balancers, firewalls, virtual and physical infrastructure design.
Working knowledge of typical development tools in both Windows and Linux environments.
Demonstrated experience developing on distributed data processing and query platforms.
Demonstrated experience developing with RESTful APIs and micro-services.
Knowledge and experience with data tools and components for storing, handling, cataloging, processing, and retrieving small to large datasets and formats.
Expertise in computer science, software development, and the latest technologies to analyze and implement analysis infrastructure and tools, analytic workflow processes, and complex data visualizations.
Experience with entity resolution (e.g., record linking, named-entity matching, deduplication/ disambiguation).
Knowledge and experience with data tools and components for storing, handling, cataloging, processing, transforming and retrieving small to large datasets.
Required Education and Experience:

BA/BS (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Computer Science, or other comparable technical degree from an accredited college/university.
Must have a minimum 10 years of experience executing projects covering the full software development lifecycle.
Required Certifications and Minimum Qualifications:

Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and be eligible for Top Secret.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have active Security+ CE.
Must be certified DoD 8570.01M IASAE Level I (CASP+ CE, CISSP or Associate, or CSSLP).
