Command Post Technologies is seeking a part time (20-25 hours
per week) IT Systems Administrator for our corporate headquarters
in Suffolk, VA. The Systems Administrator will work closely with
the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), external
departments, and service providers to design, implement, and ensure
quality delivery of services.
This part time role allows for flexible scheduling during CPT
core hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. The position is an ideal fit
for someone looking to maintain their IT skills while working a
less demanding schedule. You will gain government contracting
experience while working in a small company environment that is
preparing for growth.
Role & Responsibilities:
Primary focus of this position is WindowsCloud-based systems
administration and user support, responding to requests such as
help desk tickets, telephone, email and in-person service within
the CPT headquarters, as well as other offsite locations in
accordance with CPT IT security standards. This includes
troubleshooting hardware, software, audio visual related
Essential Job Functions include:
Support Integration of enterprise applications with cloud
services to ensure seamless delivery of data to all users
Administer and provide support for the MS 365 Enterprise tenant
to include SharePoint, Microsoft Azure (AD, Intune, Sentinel,
Defender), Office 365, and Single Sign On
Manage corporate IT lifecycle management program.
Provide outstanding customer service to end-users on a variety
Manage corporate network devices using Ubiquiti Unifi single
pane of glass management software
Identify, research, and resolve technical problems within
specified Service Level Agreement, escalating when needed.
Perform baseline configuration of end-user workstation,
software, and peripherals, including onboarding and offboarding.
Manage technology integration as new markets are acquired.
Provide support, break-fix/hardware repair, and troubleshooting
of IT deployed equipment, smartphones, networks, printers, phone
service (routing, setting caller IDs, setting ring groups), and
software installations via telephone, email, in person, or
Interface with commercial Internet and telephone service
providers to provide Internet/voice/data service to the staff to
include setup/issuing, maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of
devices. This includes maintaining an accurate accountability of
all devices, maintaining the approved number of spare devices ready
for immediate/emergency use and the timely resolution of
Track, accurately record, update documents and monitor service
requests to ensure timely resolution; keep users informed of
Monitor network devices and server resources.
Report on all routine maintenance tasks, including backups,
server patches, and antivirus updates
Create and maintain documentation to assist all users in the
quick resolution of their incidents and enable users to become more
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in IT including system
- Solid understanding and experience in system/network security,
particularly in DFARS, NIST and CMMC compliance requirements for
DoD contractor network security.
- Knowledge and experience with cloud-based architectures and
delivery models - Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft
- 3+ years related work experience with Active Directory, MS
Windows, Virtual Machines, Server OS and Cloud architecture
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Help desk and/or technical support experience
- Experience working with third party vendors on troubleshooting
and implementing new technologies.
