Job Description Technical Writer Suffolk, VA MUST: Technical Writer Experience in assisting with the development and delivery of plans, assessments, reports and briefings in support of Business Process activities at the General Officer level. Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Ability to understand how to manage electronic project files and create and maintain archival systems for documentation storage. Excellent research and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to quickly learn and document new technologies. Ability to be an independent and proactive worker. Ability and desire to learn, adapt, and grow. Graphic artist experience a plus. Knowledge of cyber operations, information assurance, and network defense. Experience or knowledge of the Navy Defensive Cyber Operations Readiness Kill Chain (RKC) a plus. Excellent written skills in English. Experience creating operationally executable Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M). Bachelor's Degree or 5 - 7 years' work experience Secret Clearance DUTIES: Requisite skills to edit, write, and revise technical articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively. They will research and analyze highly technical subject matter, test findings, technical developments, and other information to create reports and briefings to present to a wide range of internal and external audiences. Tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the below. Candidate shall: Analyze and organize information from multiple sources and express technical information in written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience of readers. Prepare reviews, edit, and maintain program technical documents, including Readiness technical documents, CONOPS, briefings, reports, user documentation, implementation documentation, etc. Interpret and administer documentation/communication policies and procedures. Recommend writing styles, syntax, and usage to improve the general quality and effectiveness of communications. Process user feedback and address issues with new and historical technical documentation. Work within the context of multiple electronic projects and programs to ensure success in meeting and maintaining the enterprise strategic goals. Implement continuous process improvement while communicating ongoing activities, analyze results, document actions taken, and pass resulting process changes to Management. Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
