The opportunity is located in the Suffolk, Virginia area. Grow your career path in this challenging position alongside an industry leader. The ideal candidate would be able to effectively communicate with both the internal team and outside customers. The Payroll Clerk's duties will include data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. The selected Payroll Clerk candidate would be employed on a long-term temporary basis. Key responsibilities - Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals - Update data into spreadsheets and the payroll system - Compile a system of administering and distributing reports - Supply the organization with instructions/training regarding the use of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc. - Data entry into spreadsheets and the payroll system - File, scan, fax, and perform other clerical duties as required - Construct and run custom reportsJob Requirements:- Outstanding data entry skills - Ability to easily learn new systems - Strong organization skills - General familiarity with Kronos Timekeeping System - Full Cycle Payroll experience required - Strong familiarity with payroll systems for 100-500 employees - Foundational knowledge in in-house payroll - Benefits payroll experience desired - Adeptness in Payroll Taxes - Garnishments payroll experience - Demonstrated knowledge of AS400 - 3+ years of previous payroll experience - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills - Detailed and have the ability work independently - Efficient in Payroll software If you are interested in this position, please contact Drew Johnson at 757-624-1100 or email drew.johnson@accountemps.comAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
