Neurosurgery NP/PA Opening in Virginia Location: Norfolk, VA Nearby Cities: Chesapeake 10 m, Virginia Beach 20 m, Newport News 25 m, Richmond 95 m Type: Full-Time, Permanent Setting: Hospital-Employed, Inpatient + Outpatient, Tertiary Care Visa Sponsorship: New Grads: Preferred 1 year of neurosurgery or neuro-critical care experience Seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Neurosurgery team at a 543-bed tertiary care facility and Level I Trauma Center. The team includes 10 neurosurgeons and 12 APPs, fostering a collegial and team-oriented culture. # Practice Overview:Provide neurosurgical care across ED, NCCU, trauma, and medical floors Rotating schedule, including occasional nights and weekends Night and weekend differential pay Perform emergent bedside procedures Fully integrated Epic EHR system Non-profit, PSLF eligible # Candidate Requirements:Licensed NP/PA in Virginia (or eligibility) Preferred: Minimum 1 year of neurosurgery or neuro-critical care experience Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to manage complex patients in both inpatient and emergent settings # Compensation & Benefits:Competitive salary with $5,000 annual quality performance incentive $10,000 tuition repayment assistance $3,000 annual CME allowance Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and disability coverage Malpractice insurance with tail coverage License reimbursement Generous PTO and retirement plan options # About the Area:Norfolk, VA is a vibrant coastal community known for its thriving port, arts scene, and access to outdoor recreation.
