Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled OB Hospitalist to support maternity services on a locum basis. This role involves overseeing obstetric patients, managing deliveries, and collaborating with healthcare staff to ensure optimal outcomes. Required Skills: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board Certification or Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid medical license to practice in Virginia Proven experience in obstetric care, including labor management and deliveries Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure Nice to Have Skills: Experience in a hospitalist role or similar acute care setting Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Bilingual abilities are a plus Pediatric or neonatal care experience Preferred Education and Experience: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Minimum of 2 years of obstetric practice experience in a hospital setting Prior locum or temp staffing experience is advantageous Other Requirements: Must hold valid Virginia medical license and Board Certification/Eligibility Commitment to working starting from 12/30/2025 Willingness to travel to assigned facilities and provide coverage as needed Certifications in BLS and ACLS required Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends Willing to participate in licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursable expenses This is an outstanding opportunity to advance your career while enjoying competitive hourly pay of $214.50.
