Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Orthopedic Med-Surg Nurse Location Richmond, VA Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend. Job Description Join our dedicated team on the Orthopedic Med-Surg unit, focusing on post-operative care for hip, knee, spine, and other orthopedic surgeries. You will work with a supportive staff and play a key role in providing high-quality care while fostering personal connections with patients. Responsibilities - Provide bedside shift reports and conduct safety rounding. - Utilize AIDET principles in all patient interactions. - Ensure patients are informed of their care plans and maintain respectful communication. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Current BLS certification. - Experience with post-operative orthopedic patients. - Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members. - Prefer familiarity with the Meditech documentation system.
