Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Chesapeake, VA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,624 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Chesapeake, Virginia, 23320! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of experience required, travel experience required License: Compact or state license in hand, no exceptions Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Must be proficient in EPIC - IV start and telemetry interpretation skills - Experience working with neurology/stroke patients in the past Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry. The role involves caring for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring telemetry and managing medications. Patient ratios are 1:7, and the nurse will need to be comfortable with this workload. Candidates must have experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Previous charge experience is preferred, as well as familiarity with rapid response and code teams. The position requires the ability to handle colostomy, ileostomy management, and feeding tube care. Pre and post-operative care for neurology and stroke patients is necessary. The unit supports an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates must provide all requested time off information with their application. Fit testing for specific requirements will be considered in the hiring process.
