Time, Night shift in Suffolk, VA! Sign on bonus up to $20,000

Medical-Surgical Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital is a great place to
learn and grow, supported by a longstanding leadership team and
strong preceptors dedicated to mentoring new nurses. With a 21-bed
capacity, an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 6, and PCTs assisting
with an average of 10 or 11 patients, the unit offers a
collaborative, supportive environment ideal for both new graduates
and experienced nurses seeking to enhance their skillset. Unit
coordinators are on staff, ensuring smooth operations and quality

Preceptors The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a
competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical
thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of
practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning,
implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion
and evaluation) along with the standards of professional
performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication,
collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice
/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and
environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of
professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and
skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
Education - Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred) -
Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing
program. - Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
Certification/Licensure - Registered nursing License (Required) -
Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
- BLS required within 90 days of hire Experience - None required -
1 year of acute care (preferred) - Previous healthcare experience
