Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a dedicated
Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical Unit with an
Oncology Specialty on the Night Shift. This is an excellent

Med-Surg/Oncology Specialty Unit is a 12-bed unit that primarily
serves medical-surgical patients while also caring for those
receiving oncology treatments. This unit offers a well-rounded
clinical experience, combining the fast-paced variety of med-surg
nursing with the rewarding, relationship-based care of oncology.
This team is known for its strong sense of teamwork, excellent
leadership, and supportive culture. Nurses on this unit enjoy low
patient ratios that allow for focused, quality care, and a fair
every third weekend rotation that provides a healthy balance
between work and personal time. The Registered Nursing (RN) is
responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as
demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing
process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes
identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care-
teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the
standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent
practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education,
evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation,
resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the
actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses
clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by
