Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse Provide high-quality care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit, including those requiring intermediate-level monitoring and interventions. Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and respond to clinical changes. Collaborate closely with physicians, PCU staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, and follow-up instructions. Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes according to hospital standards. Act quickly and competently in emergencies or rapid response situations. Requirements of the Travel Nurse Valid Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Progressive Care Unit, step-down, or similar acute care setting. Current BLS certification; additional certifications (ACLS, CCRN) preferred.
