Available*Location: Harbour View Hospital (Suffolk, VA)Harbour View
Hospital is Bon Secours new, surgically focused hospital, set to
open in early 2025. The facility will include 18 medical/surgical
beds and up to four operating rooms. The 98,000-square-foot
hospital will adjoin the existing Bon Secours Health Center at
Harbour View campus, which includes an emergency department,
outpatient imaging, outpatient lab services, an ambulatory surgery

Summary:The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position is
responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients
by:Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess
patient statusDetermining the priority of the patients problems and
needsImplementing clinical nursing interventions to acute, critical
patients that require intensive medical careDeveloping and
performing patient care plans to enhance and improve
outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environmentEssential
Functions:Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamConduct
initial and ongoing patient assessmentObserves the surgery and
surgical team from a broad perspective and assists the team to
create and maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the
patientResponsible for managing the nursing care of the patient
within the OR and coordinating the needs of the surgical team with
other care providersProvides pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care,
including assessment and discharge instructionsOther duties as
assignedEducation:Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or
Bachelors degree in NursingCertifications:Current state licensure
as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart
AssociationACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred, not
required)PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart
Association (preferred, not required)CNOR Certified Perioperative
Nurse (preferred, not required)SGNA Society of Gastroenterology
Nurses and Associates (preferred, not required)Experience:Two years
of RN experience in Critical Care Department (preferred, not
required)Completion of OR internship program (preferred, not
required)Training:Successful completion of Peri-op 101 (preferred,
