The facility will include 18 medical/surgical beds and up to four operating rooms. The 98,000-square-foot hospital will adjoin the existing Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View campus, which includes an emergency department, outpatient imaging, outpatient lab services, an ambulatory surgery center and physician practices.Primary Function/General Purpose of PositionThe Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the integration, facilitation, and coordination of the management and clinical activities of the department. Serves as a professional role model, mentor, and clinical resource/educator for staff and other members of the health care team. Develops unit goals and objectives with other staff based on analysis of clinical and team leader processes to improve patient outcomes and create a culture of excellence. Represents the unit and is a liaison to internal and external customers.Job RequirementsGraduate of an accredited program in professional nursing. A baccalaureate degree is preferred.Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse from the State of Virginia or awaiting reciprocity.Maintains current CPR and ACLS certification.Work requires knowledge of operation of department patient care techniques and methods.
