of America)Sentara is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist for Sentara
Obici's Inpatient Pharmacy, in Suffolk, Virginia.Status: Full Time
(40 hours)Work hours: Rotating shift and will work ANY of the
following shifts per week below. Need to be able to work ANY of the
hours below:
- 0600 to 1430
- 0700 to 1530
- 0730 to 16:00
- 8:00 to 16:30
- 9:00 to 17:30
- 13:00 to 21:30
- 14:30 to 23:00
- 20:00 to 07:00 (for coverage needs only)Will work every third
weekend (Sat and Sun). Need to be able to work ANY of the hours
below:
- 0600 to 1430
- 0700 to 1530
- 9:00 to 17:30
- 13:00 to 21:30
- 14:30 to 23:00
- 20:00 to 07:00 (for coverage needs only)Will get days off
during the week when working the weekend schedule.Will know
schedule 3-4 weeks in advance.Job responsibilities: Manages patient
drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical
practice standards. Maintains current knowledge of drug use through
continuing education. Serves as the primary resource for drug
information within the hospital. Assures the appropriateness of all
physician medication orders. Precepts pharmacy students as
assigned.BLS required within six months of hire. Please note:
Clinical Pharmacists working in Sentara Rx (0014891) are excluded
from the BLS requirement. Will consider new graduated pharmacists
and pharmacists not licensed in Virginia/NC due to relocation. Must
have Virginia or North Carolina (applicable to location) license
within 90 days of Sentara start date.Required qualifications:
- Virginia Pharmacist license REQUIRED
- BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart
Association (AHA) REQUIRED within 6 months of hire
- Will consider new graduated pharmacists and pharmacists not
licensed in Virginia/NC due to relocation. Must have Virginia or
North Carolina (applicable to location) license within 90 days of
Sentara start date.Preferred qualifications:
- Prior hospital experience strongly preferred.WHO SENTARA
