Laboratory Technicians to work full time rotating shifts at Sentara
Obici Hospital and Sentara Belle Harbour in Suffolk, VA.

Sentara Obici Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility located in
Suffolk, Virginia. This 172-bed, full-service hospital continues a
legacy of providing residents of Western Tidewater with
high-quality, patient-centered care. In June 2010, Sentara Obici
opened a new three-story, 63,480 square-foot wing, which includes
all private beds serving orthopedic, medical and surgical patients
and increased the hospital s bed capacity.

center in North Suffolk, is here to provide you and your family
with convenient access to quality medical care and services. From
family medicine and specialty care to physical therapy and lab and

Job Summary
Performs laboratory tests; interprets results; documents and
reports results. Maintains department equipment, instruments, and
tools.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. ASCP or
AMT certification required. Candidates with the required
education/experience and are eligible for the examination have
within one year from the date of hire to obtain certification.
Certification must remain current for continued employment

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree (Required)
AMT Medical Technologist (MT) - Other/National, ASCP Medical
Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Other/National, ASCP Technologist in
Chemistry (C) - Other/National, ASCP Technologist in Hematology (H)
- Other/National, ASCP Technologist in Microbiology (M) -
Other/National, ASCP Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB) -
Other/National, Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS) -
