$25,000 Sign on Bonus (with at least 1 year of experience)

I. PRIMARY FUNCTION/GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION:

1. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of appropriate to the ages of patients served.

2. Responsible for delivery of perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.

3. Maintains aseptic and safe environment in the Operating Room.

4. Demonstrates the ability to function in all three perioperative nursing roles: Circulator/Scrub and First Assistant roles.

II. EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

2. Licensed in the State of Virginia or awaiting reciprocity.

3. Demonstrated competency in circulating, scrubbing, and first assisting.

4. Minimum of three (3) years OR experience with at least one (1) year as a First Assistant.

5. RNs wishing to advance to this level must provide two letters of recommendation from physicians attesting to their ability to function in the First Assistant Role.

6. CPR certification.

7. Completion of an RN First Assistant course or equivalent experience.

8. CNOR/CRNFA preferred.
