and help communities thrive. Registered Nurse (RN)- Cardiac Device
Nurse-Cardiology Associates Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN)
isresponsible for the pacemaker clinic within the physician
practice. Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to
assess patient status Determining the priority of the patients
problems and needs Implementing clinical nursing interventions
Having a highly diverse skillset Developing and performing patient
care plans to enhance and improve outcomes Ensuring a safe and
therapeutic environment Essential Functions: Obtain vital signs
(respirations, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature), pulse
oximetry, height, and weight on all patients at every visit.
Coordinates care for disease specific populations as supervised by
Providers Draw blood and other laboratory samples, as necessary.
Able to perform point of care testing according to manufacturer and
CLIA regulations. Performs rooming procedures according to policy.
Able to dispose of contaminated supplies. Maintain cleanliness of
exam rooms. Maintains professional behavior when dealing with
colleagues, patients, visitors, physicians and supervisors.
Schedules appointments in Connect Care Is proficient in
documentation via the electronic medical record and to manage tools
within Connect Care. Ability to teach patients/families about
disease processes, medications, procedures and follow up treatment
as necessary Manages folders within connect care in basket. Conduct
quality assurance and proficiency testing according to guidelines
set forth in the CLIA program (ie. Refrigerator temperature checks,
emergency equipment checks, POC quality checks, etc.). Able to
perform routine care and procedures Reviews normal laboratory/test
results with patients as directed by MD. Make referrals and obtain
authorizations for patients, as required. Maintains annual
competencies and CPR certification. Attends monthly staff meetings.
Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and regulations Adheres to Joint
Commission guidelines and regulations Education: Graduate of an
accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing
Licensing & Certifications: Current state licensure as a Registered
Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association or
Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart
