highly-motivated Network Communications Manager to join our
Suffolk, VA Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Support Services
(TSS) team supporting US. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).The
selected individual willlead allphases of electronic technician
maintenance and radar/network data quality activities from
inception through contract closeout. Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead a cross-functional team comprised of network/electronic
technicians and network performance analysts by providing
managerial oversight and technical guidance to meet the program's
technical, schedule and cost performance objectives.
Manage and oversee key subcontractors in terms of performance,
payment, and adherence to contract requirements and scope.
Perform performance feedback, organize specialty training, career
development, mentoring, and provide technical direction.
Address workforce planning needs.
Assist the Program Manager in the execution of schedule milestones,
deliverables, payment, and other key contract terms and
Adherence to all internal processes for Program Management to
include Program Management Reviews, Contract Requirements
Traceability Matrixes, Intranet Program Review System reporting,
Development and delivery of presentations to customers, executive
management and other program stakeholders.
Develop new business opportunities through long term strategic
planning, capture planning and proposal development.
Cultivate customer relationships and cultivate customer intimacy to
develop further opportunities within the customer community.
Management of the team members to adhere to budget baselines using
cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.
Management of the risk & opportunity team to include
identification, mitigation and realizations. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering or
Mathematics) and 5+ years of network engineering experience.
Experience or firm understanding of radar theory, radar engineering
and radar performance measurement tools.
Experience leading, planning and executing radar and IT related
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Includes:
Proficient in Spanish Language, to include: reading, speaking and
May be required to periodically travel (25%) to support program and
subcontractor reviews as well attend customer/stakeholder
Must be a US Citizen and possess a current/active DoD Secret
security clearance (or active within the past 2 years). Must
possess a favorably adjudicated CBP Background Investigation (BI).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with aerostat-based radar
systems and understanding of aerostat radar maintenance processes
Experience with 84th Radar Evaluation Squadron Software Version
Experience with network operations center processes and
Experience with radar digitizers and radar format converters.
