for the assisting the Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager in
planning, directing and fulfilling construction projects to achieve
and serve the interrelated interests of the project owner and
Morgan-Keller; supporting forecasting and reporting
responsibilities on upcoming and current projects; utilizing
effective and efficient construction and project management
sustainable processes, people and technology; as directed and
supervised, assuming project management responsibilities on small
projects; assisting in growing relationships with customers and
pursuing opportunities for future business; communicating and
collaborating with members of management and staff within the Group
and throughout the company; providing support to other project
management, site supervision and other staff; supporting and
adhering to the Morgan-Keller core values and safety culture and
related policies and practices, as well as all company operating
and regulatory compliance-focused policies and practices.Essential
Duties:
- Support and adheres to the M-K core values, safety culture and
related safety policies and practices.
- Assists the Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager in planning,
directing and fulfilling construction projects to serve the
interrelated interests of project owners and M-K, and supports
effective project management in a variety of focused activities and
responsibilities.
- Supports forecasting and reporting responsibilities relating to
both construction projects that have been acquired but not yet
started, as well as those that are in process.
- Effectively utilizes sustainable business processes, team
member competencies and technology resources, in order to support
the effective and efficient fulfillment of construction
projects.
- As directed, may be assigned the role of "Project Manager" on
smaller projects and, where this assignment has been made, assumes
the responsibilities and duties of project management under the
close supervision and oversight of a more senior Project
Manager.
- Pursues and supports opportunities to grow relationships with
current customers and position the company for future sales; looks
for opportunities for business development for other Groups within
M-K.
- Proactively, professionally and with a team-focused attitude
collaborates and communicates with members of management and team
members throughout the company to integrate activities and achieve
goals for the acquisition, retention and growth of client
relationships and toward meeting the growth and profitability
objectives for the company.
- Assists in fulfilling all requirements relating to maintaining
accurate, complete and organized records; provides a wide variety
of reports to appropriate parties, as requested and required; may
participate in making presentations to various groups regarding
records, trends, project information, etc. as requested.
- Assists in providing mentoring and training support to site
supervision and other Group team members, as appropriate.
- Supports and, as appropriate, actively participates in industry
and discipline construction management groups and events, in order
to project a positive image of the company, including relationships
with trade associations and other related referral and networking
groups.
- Complies with established company operating policies and
procedures in order to maintain adequate controls and to support
the adherence to outside regulatory requirements.
- Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and
procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which
is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal
discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
- Responds to inquiries or requests relating to his/her
particular area within given time frames and within established
policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Position
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proficient reading,
writing, grammar and analytical skills; developable planning and
forecasting abilities; developable work management, people
management, leadership and coaching abilities; general
understanding of construction project management focus and
objectives; ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines; a
developable entrepreneurial drive; proficient computer skills and
the projected ability to use project management software
applications; proficient interpersonal relations and communication
skills; projected collaborative and generative attitudes and
abilities toward working as part of a team; visual and auditory
skills; valid driver's license.Education / Experience:
- A B.S. or B.A. degree in a related field of study
preferred;
- Specific training and education focused on the construction
project management discipline.
- A minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience as a Project Engineer
with M-K or a commercial general contracts construction company
