Along with a collaborative, team-oriented work environment, our outstanding employment package includes: competitive salaries, excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off (PTO), a generous 401k incentive plan, short-term and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and a company-wide wellness program.Position SummaryThe Hand Therapy Clinic Manager is a leadership role which is responsible for performing exceptional patient care, in addition to providing strong leadership to Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistants.Primary Functions & AccountabilitiesExercises fair and firm leadership of all Office employees, establishing and maintaining high morale in the departmentMonitors the level and standard of work produced by staff and guides, coaches, and advises as appropriateMaintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methodsProvides information to patients and health care team by answering questions and requestsConducts regular performance reviewsOversees staff payroll, time-cards, and paid time offSupervises all non-physician office staff and ancillary personnel, coordinating activities to accomplish the goals of the practice and the officeImplements and monitors office policies and proceduresWorks with the management team and office staff to coordinate the functions of patient care services across the practiceEnsures superior service for all patients of the practiceConsults with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptomsDiagnoses movement dysfunction and develops a treatment planTeaches patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniquesAssists patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkersMaintains patient records and documents goals and progressUtilizes knowledge of patient's diagnosis, signs, and symptoms presented and results of diagnostic studies to determine the patient's level of functionSets priorities and establishes realistic short-term goals and long-term outcomesDocuments and maintains a plan of care for each patient which includes specific physical therapy orders in coordination with the medical plan of careAppropriately utilizes the capabilities of personnel in assignment of self and team membersKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh proficiency with computers, MS Office, and practice management systemsExcellent oral and written communication skills are a must, along with excellent leadership, customer service, and service recovery skills.Excellent communication and customer service skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong supervisory skills and ability to effectively delegate responsibilityAbility to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee informationAbility to remain flexible, adaptable and calm in unexpected situationsAbility to exercise sound judgment in stressful circumstancesPosition RequirementsBS, MS or Doctorate in Physical or Occupational Therapy from an accredited schoolCurrent Physical Therapist or Occupational Therapist license requiredCertified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation preferredOrthopedic practice experience in Hand Therapy highly preferredCurrent CPR Certification#THERAPYOVby Jobble
