Your OpportunityThe Technical Service Manager - Materials/Sourcing Management role will oversee the technical system areas in Sourcing, Procurement, and material/inventory management. This will include the enhancement and incident process as well as the change process to assure the business systems are appropriately managed. A key point to this role is the ability to support the material management designs across multiple technical application areas (i.e. Procurement, Sales & Distribution, Production Planning/Execution and Logistics). This position will oversee both Smithfield IT and Business partner services resources. Salary Range $114,500 - $167,750 Core Responsibilities
Manage application day-to-day application technical support processes and be the point of contact.
Drive the relationship/partnership (In conjunction with the IT Service Mgr) with key Business partners to provide relevant insights, expertise, and advice on application enhancement/support.
Manage/support the Inventory Management and Intracompany systems - This includes supporting inventory functionality for other modules (Sales, Prodn) and leading the effort to support the stock transfer/logistics process between facilities.
Oversee the technical support for sourcing/procurement systems - for both Goods/Services and Livestock systems applications.
Responsible for the Service Vendor Technical business partner relationship (Contract/SLA management, Personnel integration with the business and collaboration with Partner Managers on resource productivity/issues.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a position of leadership to include team development and management, required.
Experience supporting/managing an SAP ERP environment in Supply Chain related modules (MM) is required.
Experience with other SAP Modules/Products (SD, PP, PM, QM, GTS) also preferred.
Experience with non-SAP related systems (Ex: Sourcing, Pricing) integrated with SAP is preferred.
Experience designing/managing in SAP technical environments - ABAP/.net extensions, middleware technologies such and/or including a working knowledge of EDI is preferred.
Knowledge/Experience in consumer product industries and/or other process related manufacturing industries is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with peers and executive leadership.
Strong leadership and management skills, including facilitating change, driving operational excellence, and striving for continuous improvement.
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
Experience with multiple partners and vendors is an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple project deliverables.
Highly adaptive and able to upskill rapidly.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has direct and indirect supervisory responsibilities to lead a team of Technical Engineers/Leads/Analysts.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
