Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1
years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do
not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This
opportunity is for a School Psychologist position supporting
elementary students in the Virginia Beach area, specifically within
Chesapeake Public Schools. This contract role begins on January 5,
2026, and extends through June 16, 2026, with hours to be
determined based on candidate availability. Both full-time and
part-time candidates, including new graduates, are encouraged to
apply. Key Responsibilities: - Administer psychological testing and
assessments for elementary-aged students - Participate in and
contribute to ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal),
re-evaluation, and IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
to support student success - Maintain accurate records and comply
with state guidelines and district policies Qualifications and
Experience: - Valid state licensure as a School Psychologist -
Active Department of Education (DOE) certification - Experience
working with elementary school populations preferred, but new
graduates are welcome - Strong communication and interpersonal
skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff -
Ability to manage caseload and contribute to student evaluations
and interventions Location and Schedule: - Position is based in
Portsmouth, VA, serving schools in the Virginia Beach area - School
day hours typically run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Caseload and
