Job Description Job Description We are looking for a skilled
Dispatcher to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. This is a
long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to play a
vital role in ensuring efficient and timely service delivery to our
customers. The ideal candidate will excel at managing service
requests, coordinating technician responses, and maintaining strong
customer relationships. Responsibilities: • Receive and respond to
service calls within a two-hour timeframe in a high-volume
environment, ensuring prompt attention to customer needs. •
Schedule all service requests within 24 hours of receipt and
conduct end-of-day follow-ups for any unscheduled requests. •
Collaborate with the sales team to coordinate technician surveys
for potential new business opportunities. • Create and manage work
orders, including verifying customer details, payment methods, and
ensuring accurate data entry aligned with cost codes. • Keep
customers informed about technician statuses and provide updates on
service progress. • Monitor technician locations during work hours
and maintain accurate dispatch board records. • Communicate
professionally and patiently with customers to address inquiries
and concerns. • Schedule warranty and service requests efficiently,
dispatching technicians based on skill level, urgency, and customer
requirements. • Perform follow-ups on unresolved items, including
rescheduling and ensuring all open calls are assigned and scheduled
daily. • Update customer portals and immediately address concerns,
escalating issues when necessary and notifying supervisors of
actions taken. • At least 3 years of experience in dispatching or a
related role. • Proficiency in customer service and call center
operations. • Experience with computer-aided dispatch systems and
logistics coordination. • Strong ability to create and manage work
orders accurately. • Excellent communication skills with a focus on
building long-term customer relationships. • Ability to effectively
prioritize tasks and manage multiple service requests. • Knowledge
of technician scheduling and resource allocation. • Familiarity
with customer portal updates and maintaining detailed records.
