Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Richmond,
Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part
in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with
accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial
goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment
and brings a detail-oriented approach to complex financial tasks.
Responsibilities: • Oversee fixed asset management and ensure
accurate financial reporting. • Prepare and analyze financial
statements, including footnotes and detailed reports. • Manage
month-end and year-end accounting processes to ensure timely and
accurate closings. • Perform general ledger maintenance and ensure
proper reconciliation of accounts. • Handle journal entries and
ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards. • Conduct bank
reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies. • Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to support capital budgeting and financial
planning. • Utilize Workday Financial Management and Ariba
procurement systems to streamline processes. • Identify
opportunities for process improvements within accounting
operations. • Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and
organizational policies. • 7 years of accounting experience,
including financial statement preparation and reporting. •
Proficiency in general ledger management, journal entries, and
account reconciliation. • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and
US GAAP standards. • Experience with month-end and year-end close
processes. • Familiarity with financial systems such as Workday
Financial Management and Ariba. • Advanced skills in Microsoft
Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Excellent analytical
abilities and attention to detail. • Effective communication skills
for collaboration across all levels of the organization.
