This role will collaborate closely with Sales and Business Management to optimize trade investments and maximize profitability. By leveraging superior business acumen and possessing a keen understanding of the dynamics between pricing and trade investments, the Senior Director, Trade Finance will help Smithfield further develop a culture of excellence and best in class processes.Core Responsibilities----Responsible for the strategic direction of the trade function, including system development and organizational structure.Develop and execute strategic pricing and promotion plans to drive sales growth and maximize profitability.Evaluate and optimize all systems and processes supporting the trade function.Utilize Post Promotional Analysis and Trade Promotional Optimization tools to drive top and bottom-line growth.Optimize automation within the trade team processes, to enable organizational efficiency by moving transactional to value added analysis.Serve as the key liaison between the Sales teams and Business Management, ensuring alignment on trade investment strategies.Foster a culture of excellence by sharing key insights and best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness and drive financial results.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.----Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Marketing, Finance, or Business Administration and 12+ years related Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience in sales, marketing, category management, business management, or trade marketing.5+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development is required.MBA preferred.Project management experience.Must exhibit solid understanding of P&L management and customer trade planning processes.Must have strong presentation skills to facilitate communication of key insights and best practices that help enhance organizational effectiveness.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; Blacksmith; SAP.Ability to interact with all levels of staff and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.--Supervisory Responsibilities----Supervise and lead Trade Finance team to drive strategic goals, effectively utilize all resources and drive innovation.Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.--EEO/AA InformationSmithfield is an equal opportunity employer committed to workplace diversity.
